Bring your homeschool students for a day of fun-filled activities at the Sedgwick County Zoo!
Please register for the event whether you are a member or a non-member so that we can plan for the correct number of people.
Check-in and admission will begin at 9:00 a.m. The last reduced admission entry will be granted at 10:30 a.m.

Members are free with membership card and photo id. Non-member admission is $6.50. Reduced admission will not be granted after 10:30am.

Programs
Programs are 20 minutes of interactive learning! Each programs can accommodate up to 50 individuals. Please arrive 5 minutes early. Latecomers cannot be accommodated.
Program Times: 10:00am, 10:30am, 11:00am and 11:30am
Buzz about Bees- Nectar Butterfly Garden (near Nectar Concessions)
This program will allow students to gain a better understanding of how plants and animals use adaptations to survive as well as what they need to survive. Students will also learn that young animals often look different than the adult. An understanding of pollination will also be developed.
Powerful Forces- Children’s Farms near Poultry House
This program will allow students to build different structures and then break them down using the force of water or sand. Students will also discover how the pull of the moon changes the ocean tides from high to low.
Needs are Simply Basic- Poet Gazebo
This program will explore the necessities every animal must have in order to survive and how some animals have adaptations that helps them meet their basic needs.
Migration Madness- Pavilion Patio
Students will learn about what migration is, why it happens, and about a few animals who migrate. Students will also test their new knowledge in a tactile game.
