Spotfin archerfish

Tropics·Fish

This species of tropical fish gets its name for the fast and precise way it "shoots" at it's prey. Typically silver in color, Spotfin archerfish are marked with spall black spots that make them a popular fish for aquariums. These fish also have the ability to "jump" out of the water, which helps them to catch insects on low hanging leaves and branches.
